Walk the Labyrinth

Drop in anytime all weekend long!

Enjoying the labyrinth

The labyrinth has been used in some form in almost every culture. Judith Joyce will be available to help you take the first step. It is a single path with no tricks or dead ends, unlike a maze which can confuse and mislead.  There is no right or wrong way to walk the labyrinth, this ancient walking meditation is simply done by putting one foot in front of the other.  Walk with an open heart and you will find healing, inner peace, and inspiration.

Labyrinths:  Paths to Peace and Transformation

Judith JoyceJudith Joyce will give a presentation each day
at 2:00 in the labyrinth room

Labyrinths, ancient archetypes for peace and transformation, have one path to and from the center.  Spanning over 3500 years, these sacred symbols, used in cultures like the Medicine Wheel of the Hopi Indians, the Jewish Cabbalah and the pre-Christian Classical Labyrinth, are designed according to Sacred Geometry, creating sacred space where the seen and unseen intertwine increasing access to intuition and creativity.  Their energy, similar to earth domes and pyramids, touches the spirit of those who have gone before.

Judith Joyce, founding member of The Labyrinth Society, is a Labyrinth Creator/Educator, Life Transitions Coach and Dowser.  An international speaker and workshop facilitator, her work supports personal/planetary peace and transformation.     www.journeybeyondbelief.com

Introduction by Judith Joyce

The labyrinth journey is metaphorical for our life journeys.  Join our labyrinth walk and feel the power of group support and encouragement for this most challenging journey.  Walking together develops personal inner strength, encourages others in their recovery, celebrates success stories, memorializes special people you have known, and expands the hope for a cure.

Peace--Inside and Out         Sunday at 3 pm

A focused group walk for PEACE
Introduction by Judith Joyce

Come and walk the labyrinth for peace and healing of yourself and the planet.  Judith M. Joyce.  As an archetype for peace and transformation, the labyrinth supports each person in becoming healthier in body, mind, and spirit.  Personal inner peace will then radiate out into the greater world creating a more peaceful and sustainable planet for all.  There is power in numbers--count yourself in!

"Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."  Miler & Jackson

In the Labyrinth Room you will also find two interactive meditative activities.  The materials are very simple, just sand and rocks. You will find that the creative process can have a profound effect on your thinking and in your life.

Stone balancing

STONE BALANCING

Stacking stones has been done since the dawn of time in all cultures. The art and discipline of stone balancing teaches spiritual qualities and the process itself is a metaphor for the way we live our life.  Rocks collected from Moon Stone Beach will be arranged and rearranged all weekend long.  Each person will create their own unique stack and discover more about what personal balance is and how to achieve it.  It is also a good lesson in the impermanence of all things.

Zen Sand Tray

ZEN SAND TRAY

The process of raking sand in patterns will quiet your mind and help you develop concentration. It is a simple way to relax and be "in the moment." The center rock can represent yourself and the sand the expanding universe around you. Radiating ripples show how an insignificant action we take will expand out from us and have far-reaching effects. The sand will be raked into different patterns all weekend long. This is a good example of how everything in the universe is in a constant state of change.
